V for Vendetta

I have finally watched the film V for Vendetta, which stars Natalie Portman and Hugo Weaving. The film is one of the best movies I have seen in a while, and probably one of the deepest ones, too. The movie is set in a futuristic London where a fascist/Orwellian government rules. Meanwhile, America is in the verge of civil war, which the British government uses to control the people with fear of that happening with them. The government is extremely religious, banning the Koran, homosexuality, and censoring all media. One day, a terrorist named V begins to fight the government using a Guy Fawkes mask to hide his identity. Upon rescuing a girl named Evey from the police, he beliefs he found a worthy ally to fight the government. I think this movie has some great acting, story telling, and a deep message of freedom and anarchy. We can probably relate this to many current issues, such as the Egyptian coups de ta earlier this year.  This makes V for Vendetta deserve a 9/10, and becoming one of my favorite movies. SPOILER My favorite part in the movie is at the end when parliament finally exploded and there is a crowd wearing Guy Fawkes masks realizing they finally overthrew the government.

Here's the movie poster and you should definitely watch it if you get a chance.

Old but Gold - A Clockwork Orange

So I just rewatched a movie I've always loved: A Clockwork Orange. This is my favorite Kubrick movie and I think it is really loyal to the book as well. With solid acting by Malcolm McDowell and great filming (Kubrick only shows you what he wants you to see). The story is set in a futuristic London, where anarchy has taken over, and crime is high. The main character is young hoodlum Alex, who with his droogs(friends) gets high on milkplus( a drug) in order to begin become ultra violent. After a fight with his droogs, Alex is set up by them in order to get caught by the police. In order to get out of jail, he has to submit himself to a experiment with tragic results. With some really solid acting, a great script(made with its own special slang), and since great directing make this movie something you must viddy.
Here's the movie poster for you to check out, and you should buy it on DVD ASAP. Its real horrorshow!

First Review - Oblivion 7/10

Hi, so I recently watched the movie Oblivion with actor Tom Cruise. I honestly tought the film wasn't gonna be that good, but it exceeded my expectations by far.The story is about this guy named Jack, and his partner Victoria. They both live in a post-apocaliptic Earth thats been attacked by aliens, and nuked by humans to kill the aliens. Jack and Victoria are the only humans remaining on Earth because all the other humans left to live in a space station in one of Jupuiter's moons. They were sent down from the space station to explore what's remaining of Earth, with their memories erased for security reasons. When Jack finds a book when going to repair a drone, he begins to question the mission's purpose. I highly recommend this film if you want a suspense filled action movie, with a great story and good acting. Morgan Freeman makes a great acting appearance, as well as Tom Cruise, but the rest of the supporting cast is not that good. The thing I liked the most about the film was the plot twist when SPOILER Tom Cruise discovers he was clones into many more Jacks.
